Updated Application Procedures As Of 02/01/25

We have seen a tremendous increase in appointment requests and availability may seem booked at times. Our schedule is only booked 45 days into the future. We suggest that you continue to check our website for available appointments. We ask for your patience at this time.

 NEW LTC/FID APPLICANTS ONLY:

Applications MUST  be submitted via the MIRCS Firearms Licensing Portal prior to scheduling a fingerprint appointment. 

 RENEWAL LTC/FID APPLICANTS ONLY:

Applications may be submitted by mail or drop off to 685 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA 02721, or via the MIRCS Firearms Licensing Portal.

  • All applicants must complete a Massachusetts basic firearms safety course

  • Complete the application via the MIRCS Firearms Licensing Portal

  • Review checklist to ensure you have all necessary documents

  • Schedule your appointment online HERE​​​​​​​​​

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

Applications are to be submitted via MIRCS prior to your scheduled appointment. Applicants are urged to carefully consider Question (4) found on page 2 of the application. This question refers to any criminal charges brought forth against you, in the court of law, regardless of the outcome.

 

If you appeared in court as a defendant and the charges brought against you were filed, dismissed, CWOF (continued without a finding), sealed, etc., you must answer “YES” to the question and provide as much detail as possible. It is your responsibility to inform the licensing authority.

 

Be advised that if your application is not completed truthfully or accurately, your LTC or FID request will automatically be denied.
